Being a native Chicagoan, there is no one I trust more in real estate than Greg. He is not only an expert of current market conditions and availability (listed or otherwise), he is a great guy who I have considered a close friend for the last thirty years. One of his strengths is a massive network of Chicagoans in every useful field and price range throughout the trades.Need an antique heating plant worked on? Tuck-pointing, a true craftsman for your crown molding, landscaping; you name it he'll not only refer you, but he can get you in with whomever you need, often circumventing a long waiting list. It is not just your home with Greg, it's the community, he is a solution orientated fellow who will recommend all community services from babysitters to doctors to the best shopping, beaches, whatever. He has a unique feel for how people fit best with each other. I really love his knowledge of Chicago history too as this puts an important perspective on a property or neighborhood. He grew up in the Gold Coast, went to Latin and Northwestern among the scions of bankers, insurance, and Chicago business, yet despite this he is compassionate, a true man of the people. He treats the building custodian the same as any big wig, with respect and is regarded as a gentle man by all. Greg is also curious, he is a reader, a student, a builder and someone you should know. You won't be a one time transaction with him, he's in it for the long haul. Of course I'm a character guy, it's important to me, I value ethics, wisdom and decorum. I rarely write reviews, but like most who know Greg, I'll always sprint across the street to shake my broker and friends hand, because the bottom line is he's also most enjoyable to be around.

Greg was the only person I would have asked to try and sell 12l6 N. Astor 1A. My having known him for almost 15 years had something to do with my choice. I knew him to be intelligent, capable and kind. I thought that he would do everything possible to sell the apartment. We both understood that it had some very bad features (a metal stair case). Greg had a lot of open houses. I do not think that he could have done any more than he did.
